How to Spend the 4th of July in Hawaii

Aloha! You can spend the 4th of July in Hawaii at any number of festivities and celebrations throughout the Aloha State. Get together with friends or go to a large celebration to commemorate this patriotic day.

Instructions:

Things You’ll Need:

  • Food for a party or to take to a party
  • Transportation
  • Party favors
  • Fireworks

Step1: As you get nearer to the 4th of July, check out the local news on television, radio and newspaper to find out what events are happening near you to celebrate Independence Day.

Step2: Go to a friend’s 4th of July party in Hawaii.

Step3: Plan a party of your own—invite friends over to your home for a barbecue and have some fun.

Step4: Go to your local 4th of July Parade.

Step5: Go to the local fireworks display or let off your own in the evening.

Tips & Warnings
  • Enjoy yourself, but be safe around fireworks, barbecues and vehicles.
  • If fireworks are needed to celebrate your 4th of July. "Please insure that proper permits are obtained."
  • If you are drinking at a party, designate a driver that will stay sober so you can all get home safely. If you don’t have a designated driver, call a cab.
  • If you are having a party where alcohol is being served, make sure you don’t let your friends drive home intoxicated.
